Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that search. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers automatically receive certain technical details about the visit:
- Page-view dates and times
- Your device's assigned IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is available
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show how visitors move through the website, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine this traffic information for measurement. You may block cookies through browser controls, although doing so can change how some website functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing a submitted query to the appropriate search partner
- Maintaining website availability, speed, and operation
- Diagnosing and correcting technical faults
- Measuring which content visitors use and where improvements are needed
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not keep, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The website identifies official Nevada County record sources, including the sheriff, criminal courts, Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau, and Arkansas Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is never assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-history files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through a tool is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas courts, state agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you follow an external link, the destination's privacy rules apply. Read them before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select targeted advertising. That processing occurs on the providers' systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may be available to:
- Analytics providers measuring performance and traffic
- Search partners processing a query you submit
- Advertising networks serving ads on the website
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information we collect. No internet system can be completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Rights may differ by location. Arkansas consumer-protection law, including the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Ark. Code Ann. §§ 4-88-101 et seq., may provide additional protections. The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, Ark. Code Ann. §§ 25-19-101 et seq., governs access to public agency records, while Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1009 addresses dissemination of criminal-history information. Those public-record laws do not convert this private website into a government custodian. At a minimum, you may:
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Ask for a copy of personal information held about you
- Object to certain forms of processing
- Request deletion of your personal information
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A changed version will appear here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review the page periodically.
